Proceedings of the seminar: “Digital integration in machines and process industry”

On July 7th, an international seminar on digital integration in machines and process industry took place in Rome at INAIL. It provided an overview of the activities carried out by INAIL and the ISSA Section Machine and System Safety concerning the integration of digital tools, typical of the Industry 4.0 paradigm, which allow the acquisition, processing and transmission of data from machines, plants and work environment. International speakers participated in the seminar, co‐organized with the ISSA‐Section Machine and System Safety, who illustrated case studies and approaches aimed to highlight the benefits and risks deriving from digital integration in machines and systems for physical and IT security in the workplace.
