Digital Factory

In a Digital Factory, all processes within a company are coordinated in such a way that production operates efficiently and profit-optimized. All collected production data can be retrieved and evaluated nearly in real time. Many companies are in the process of at least partially digitizing their production and increasing the degree of networking.

This digital transformation provides companies with new challenges, especially in the field of security. The more machine data is generated, analyzed and stored, the greater the risk that this data will also be of interest to others. To protect their own data, the company's internal networks and their gateways must be protected against unauthorized access. From the point of view of occupational health and safety, it is important to allow access to machines and their data only for authorized persons in order to minimize the risk of an attack.
